A distributor of specialty chemicals and food ingredients, Azelis links big chemical makers with the factories and brands that use their products, backing them up with labs and formulation know-how. The company was born in 2001 from a merger of Italy's Novorchem and France's Arnaud, then grew by folding in dozens of regional distributors across Europe. For its first decade it ran under many brand names at once — at one point 36 different ones — before consolidating under the single Azelis name in 2011.
