Wuliangye Yibin Co Ltd

A distiller of Wuliangye, one of China's most famous baijiu (clear grain spirits), made in Yibin, Sichuan. The name means "Five Grain Liquid," for the sorghum, rice, glutinous rice, wheat, and corn used in the recipe. Rooted in a local brewing tradition that dates back centuries, the brand got its name in 1909 when a scholar suggested it at a banquet, and the modern company grew from a 1952 merger of eight old Yibin distilleries.
