Cnp Assurances
A French insurer that sells life insurance, savings, and personal-protection policies to individuals across Europe and beyond. Its name, Caisse Nationale de Prévoyance, means "National Provident Fund" — "prévoyance" being the French idea of planning ahead against life's uncertainties. Born in 1959 inside the French public bank Caisse des Dépôts, it traces its heritage back to 1850 and today operates as a subsidiary of La Banque Postale.
