Lavoro Limited

A special purpose acquisition company, or SPAC — a "blank check" firm formed to raise money through an IPO and then merge with a private business to take it public. Sponsored by The Production Board, a holding company founded by David Friedberg (who also started The Climate Corporation), it was created in 2021 to hunt for deals in agriculture, food, and biomanufacturing. In early 2023 it merged with Lavoro, Brazil's largest agricultural inputs retailer, and the SPAC itself then ceased to exist.
