Bath & Body Works, Inc.
A retailer of scented personal care and home fragrance, Bath & Body Works sells body lotions, shower gels, fine fragrance mists, foaming hand soaps, and its signature three-wick candles — with cult-favorite scents like Japanese Cherry Blossom and Champagne Toast. It was founded in 1990 by Leslie Wexner's The Limited in New Albany, Ohio, opening its first store in a Cambridge, Massachusetts mall. After its sister brand Victoria's Secret was spun off in 2021, the company took the Bath & Body Works name for itself. In its early days it marketed its products through a fictional herbalist character named "Kate" who supposedly made natural goods on a farm.
