Nestlé S.a.
A Swiss food and beverage giant whose shelves span Nescafé coffee, KitKat chocolate, Perrier water, and Purina pet food. It began in 1867 when German-born pharmacist Henri Nestlé invented Farine Lactée, an infant cereal, in Vevey, Switzerland; in 1905 it merged with the Anglo-Swiss Condensed Milk Company. The founder's surname means "little nest" in a German dialect, which is why the logo shows a bird in a nest.
