Toyota Industries Corporation
A Japanese maker of forklift trucks, textile machinery, and car air-conditioning compressors, and the world's largest producer of forklifts under the Toyota, Raymond, and Cesab brands. It began in 1926 as Toyoda Automatic Loom Works, founded by inventor Sakichi Toyoda, whose automatic loom stopped whenever a thread broke. The name was later changed to "Toyota" because it is written with eight strokes, a lucky number in Japan.
