Slam Corp.
A special purpose acquisition company, or "blank check" company, formed in late 2020 by baseball legend Alex Rodriguez and investor Himanshu Gulati to hunt for a merger in sports, media, entertainment, and consumer technology. The name "Slam" honors Rodriguez's MLB record for the most career grand slams. It went public in 2021 and later agreed to combine with satellite-to-phone firm Lynk Global, a deal that was mutually terminated in 2025.
