A Dublin-based company that owns and leases the world's largest fleet of commercial aircraft, engines, and helicopters to airlines and cargo carriers around the globe. It got its start in 1995 in the Netherlands as an aircraft finance platform, later absorbing several big rivals to grow. Its name is a mashup of "aeronautics" and "capital" — a tidy summary of what it does.
