Gruma, S.a.b. De C.v.
A Mexican food company that is one of the world's largest makers of corn flour and tortillas, selling its Maseca corn flour and Mission tortillas, flatbreads, and chips to home cooks and restaurants across the globe. It was founded in 1949 in Cerralvo, Mexico, when the González family pioneered a way to turn wet nixtamal dough into dry corn flour that could be mixed with water on demand. The name Gruma is short for Grupo Maseca, and Maseca itself comes from "masa seca," Spanish for "dry dough."
