A Swedish maker of outdoor power equipment, Husqvarna produces chainsaws, robotic lawn mowers, ride-on mowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems for homeowners and forestry, park, and construction professionals. Founded in 1689 as a royal weapons factory in the town of Huskvarna, it later moved into sewing machines, bicycles, and motorcycles before becoming one of the world's oldest continuously operating companies. Its signature orange chainsaw color came about when a marketing manager spontaneously painted fuel tanks orange before the first saw's 1959 launch.
