Electrolux Professional Ab (publ)
A Swedish maker of professional appliances for restaurants, hotels, laundries and food-service businesses, serving kitchens and commercial washrooms around the world. Its roots reach back to 1919, when two Swedish firms — Elektromekaniska, a maker of vacuum-cleaner motors, and Lux, a former kerosene-lamp company — merged, their names fusing into "Electrolux." In 2020 the professional arm was spun off from the household-appliance giant into its own listed company, keeping the name that literally blends "electric" and "light."
