Konecranes Plc
A maker of cranes, hoists, and other lifting equipment used in factories, ports, and warehouses around the world. Its roots reach back to 1910, when the Finnish KONE Corporation began as an electrical motor repair shop and later started building cranes in 1933. Konecranes was spun off from KONE in 1994, and its name blends "Kone" — Finnish for "machine" — with the word "cranes."
