Bitauto Holdings Limited
A Chinese automotive internet platform that helps car shoppers research prices, reviews, and specs through its Yiche websites and apps, while helping automakers and dealers advertise and sell. Founder Li Bin, who later created the electric-car maker Nio, started Bitauto in 2000 during China's internet boom and took it to the New York Stock Exchange in 2010 as the country's first auto-internet company. Fun quirk: its Chinese name, Yiche, pairs "yi" (easy) with "che" (car) to suggest simpler car buying.
