Black Mountain Acquisition Corp.
A special purpose acquisition company, or SPAC—a "blank check" firm with no operations of its own—that raises money to buy or merge with another business, with an eye on the North American energy industry. It was formed in 2021 by Rhett Bennett, the Texas energy veteran behind the "Black Mountain" group of firms, which spans oil and gas, frac sand mining, and battery metals. The company shares the Black Mountain name that Bennett has used as an umbrella brand for his family of energy ventures since the 2000s.
