Blount International, Inc.
A maker of chainsaw chains and cutting gear for forestry, lawn care, and construction, best known for its Oregon brand of saw chains, guide bars, and mower blades. It began in 1947 when Portland logger Joseph Buford Cox, inspired by a timber beetle larva's C-shaped jaws, invented the modern chainsaw chain in his basement. The company later grew into Blount International and rebranded as Oregon Tool in 2021.
