Pozen Inc.

A specialty pharmaceutical developer, Pozen built new medicines and licensed them to bigger drugmakers to sell. It created Treximet, a migraine treatment, and Vimovo, a pain reliever gentler on the stomach, both developed with partners. Founded in 1996 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, by a former Glaxo scientist involved in the migraine drug Imitrex, Pozen later merged with a Canadian firm to form Aralez Pharmaceuticals.
