A contract research, development, and manufacturing organization that helps pharmaceutical companies create and produce medicines, best known for developing the active ingredient in the allergy drug Allegra. Founded in 1991 in Albany, New York, by two former Sterling Winthrop scientists who started with custom synthesis work in lab space lent by Siena College. The company rebranded as Curia in 2021, taking a Latin name meaning "purposeful assembly" to reflect its global reach beyond its Albany roots.
