Fortum Oyj
A Finnish state-owned energy company that generates electricity and heat from hydropower, nuclear, wind, and solar, and sells power to homes and businesses across the Nordics. It was born in 1998 when the Finnish government merged its state power company Imatran Voima with the national oil firm Neste. Its name comes from the Latin word "fortuna," meaning luck or fortune.
