A Canadian wealth and asset management company, IGM Financial Inc. helps everyday Canadians plan their finances through two arms: IG Wealth Management (financial planning, insurance, and mortgages) and Mackenzie Investments (mutual funds and investment management). Its roots reach back to 1926 with the founding of Investors Group, which acquired Mackenzie in 2001 and renamed itself IGM — the "IG" for Investors Group and "M" for Mackenzie. Headquartered in Winnipeg and part of the Power Corporation family, the firm is one of Canada's largest money managers.
