Beiersdorf AG
A German maker of skin and personal care products, Beiersdorf is the company behind the NIVEA, Eucerin, and tesa brands. Founded in Hamburg in 1882 by pharmacist Paul C. Beiersdorf, it launched NIVEA in 1911 after a chemist and dermatologist created a stable oil-and-water cream so pure white they named it after the Latin word for "snow-white." The same lab's adhesive experiments, too irritating for skin, were repurposed into the tesa tape line.
