Bolsa Mexicana De Valores, S.a.b. De C.v.
One of the world's largest stock exchanges and the main marketplace where Mexican companies list and trade shares, bonds, and funds — it runs the electronic trading system that brokers across the country use to buy and sell securities. It began in 1894 when a small group of brokers founded the Bolsa Nacional in a Mexico City office, merging a year later with a rival exchange. Fun fact: the word "bolsa" (meaning "bag" or "purse") traces to a medieval European market held outside the home of the Van der Beurse family, whose door showed three carved money pouches — giving the world's exchanges their name.
