Blue Apron Holdings Inc
A maker of meal kits that pioneered the ingredient-and-recipe delivery model in the US, sending pre-portioned groceries and step-by-step recipe cards to household kitchens. It was founded in 2012 by Matt Salzberg, Ilia Papas, and Matthew Wadiak after Papas struggled with a home-cooked steak dinner. The name comes from the blue aprons worn by apprentice chefs in culinary schools, and the company's first name was "Part & Parsley."
