Grayscale Ethereum Staking ETF
An exchange-traded fund that lets everyday investors own Ethereum through a normal brokerage account while earning extra income from "staking" — lending the crypto to secure the network and sharing the rewards as cash payouts. It grew out of the Grayscale Ethereum Trust, which began as a private investment in 2017 and converted into a stock-market ETF in 2024. In 2025 Grayscale became the first U.S. issuer to activate staking for its Ethereum funds, and its first reward payout in 2026 was an industry milestone. The name "Grayscale" nods to bridging the black-and-white world of early crypto with the gray corridors of traditional finance.
