Straumann Holding AG
A maker of dental implants and tooth-replacement systems, Straumann is one of the world's largest dental companies, based in Basel, Switzerland, and sells its implants, prosthetics, and digital dentistry tools to dentists across the globe. It grew out of a metallurgy research institute founded in 1954 in Waldenburg by the Straumann family, whose name it still carries. Its modern implant line took shape through a partnership with dental researcher André Schroeder that helped pioneer today's implantology.
