Gamida Cell Ltd.
A biopharmaceutical company in Jerusalem that makes cell therapies for people with blood cancers. Its flagship product, Omisirge, is an FDA-approved therapy grown from umbilical cord blood, using a technology that multiplies stem cells with nicotinamide — a form of vitamin B3. Founded in 1998 by a scientist from Hadassah University Hospital, the company grew out of his research on how stem cells develop.
