Xpeng Inc.
A maker of tech-heavy "smart" electric cars, Xpeng builds connected sedans and SUVs like the G6 and P7 aimed at drivers who want software-driven vehicles. It was founded in Guangzhou in 2014 by internet entrepreneur He Xiaopeng (co-founder of the UCWeb mobile browser) with former GAC engineers. The name "Xpeng" comes from its founder, whose Chinese name means "Little Roc," a mythical giant bird—fitting for a company also developing a "flying car" called the Land Aircraft Carrier.
