Augwind Energy Tech Storage Ltd
An Israeli energy-technology company that stores electricity by compressing air underground, using a clever "liquid piston" that pushes water to squeeze air into salt caverns and release it to spin a turbine when power is needed. Its AirBattery system helps balance grids that depend on wind and solar. Founded in 2012, it grew out of a technology incubator and, after a 2019 merger with a listed firm, later rebranded as Airengy Tech — a nod to its air-driven approach.
