Mgi Digital Technology SA
A French maker of digital printing and finishing machines based in Fresnes near Paris, founded in 1982. Its JETvarnish presses add raised 3D spot-UV coating and hot-foil stamping to packaging, labels, and cards, while the AlphaJET combines printing, varnishing, and foiling in a single pass. In 2014 it allied with Konica Minolta, which became a major shareholder, and its subsidiaries extend into printed electronics and precision mechanics. Fun fact: it shares the "MGI" name with an unrelated Chinese gene-sequencing company.
