Softbank Group Corp.
A Japanese technology investment holding company that began in 1981 as a distributor of computer software and publisher of tech magazines, founded by entrepreneur Masayoshi Son. Today it manages one of the world's largest tech investment funds, backing companies across AI, robotics and e-commerce, while owning major stakes in Japan's SoftBank mobile network and chip designer Arm Holdings. Its name is a literal "bank of software," and its logo is modeled on the flag of a 19th-century Japanese reform movement, the Kaientai.
