Voxeljet AG
A German maker of industrial 3D printers, Voxeljet builds large-scale machines that print sand molds and plastic patterns used mainly to cast metal parts like automotive cylinder heads. It also runs on-demand printing service centers in Germany, the US, and China. The company spun out of the Technical University of Munich in 1999, and its name blends "voxel" (the 3D version of a pixel) with "jet," reflecting the binder-jetting process it pioneered for metal casting.
