An Israeli biotechnology company that grows therapeutic cells from human placentas using a patented 3D platform, producing "off-the-shelf" cell therapies for regenerative medicine. Founded in 2001 by Shai Meretzki, it was renamed Pluristem Therapeutics in 2007 and now goes by Pluri Inc. Its PLX cells take their name from "PLacental eXpanded" — cells multiplied outside the body.
