Meituan

A "super app" for everyday life in China, Meituan connects people with food delivery, restaurant bookings, groceries, and local services through one platform. Founded in 2010 by Wang Xing as a group-buying site for discounted deals, it merged with rival Dianping in 2015 to become the country's biggest local-services platform. Its name comes from the characters for "beautiful" and "group," a nod to its group-buying roots.
