Elastic N.v.
A maker of software that helps companies search, analyze, and visualize their data, Elastic N.V. built the widely used Elasticsearch search engine and its companion Kibana dashboard, which teams use to monitor system performance and spot security threats. It began when Shay Banon started writing search code in 2009 after building a recipe app for his wife, who was studying cooking, and he co-founded the company with three others in 2012. The name "Elastic" came from the software's ability to stretch and grow with ever-larger datasets.
