A maker of the "intelligent brain" inside modern cars, this company builds the digital cockpits, infotainment screens, and operating systems that power vehicles from Geely, Volvo, Polestar, Lotus, and other brands. It was founded in 2017 by Ziyu Shen and Li Shufu, the founder of China's Geely auto group, and later moved its headquarters to London. The name is a mash-up of "E" for electronic, "CAR," and "X" for the unknown future of driving.
