Forest City Realty Trust, Inc.
A real estate developer that grew from a Cleveland lumberyard into one of the country's largest builders of malls, offices, and apartment complexes. Founded in 1920 by the Ratner siblings, Polish immigrants who named their hardware business after Cleveland's nickname, "The Forest City," it went on to create landmarks like Tower City Center and Brooklyn's MetroTech Center before being acquired by Brookfield in 2018.
