Arris Group Inc
A maker of the cable modems, Wi-Fi routers, and set-top boxes that power home internet and TV. Born in 1995 as Arris Interactive, a joint venture between Nortel Networks and Antec, it grew into one of the world's largest broadband equipment suppliers and was later absorbed into CommScope. Its name comes from the architectural term "arris"—the sharp edge where two surfaces meet—chosen to evoke precision in telecom infrastructure.
