Nuveen Municipal Value Fund Inc
A closed-end investment company that pools money into a portfolio of municipal bonds, aiming to pay its shareholders income that is free of regular federal income tax. Launched in 1987 as the first closed-end fund ever offered by Chicago-based asset manager Nuveen, whose name traces to founder John Nuveen Sr., a former wholesale grocer who started John Nuveen & Co. in 1898. Unlike a typical mutual fund, its shares trade on a stock exchange like ordinary stocks.
