Kite Realty Group Trust

A real estate investment trust that owns and runs open-air, grocery-anchored shopping centers and mixed-use properties across the US, home to everyday retailers like supermarkets. It grew out of Al Kite's Indianapolis construction business in the 1960s and went public as a REIT in 2004. In 2021 it merged with Retail Properties of America in a deal that made it one of the largest owners of open-air shopping centers in the country, a name carried from its founding family.
