Wisdomtree Trust
A Delaware trust that issues the exchange-traded funds (ETFs) sold under the WisdomTree brand, letting everyday investors buy baskets of stocks and bonds in a single trade. The company behind it began in 1985 as a personal-finance magazine publisher founded by Jonathan Steinberg, and took the name WisdomTree in 2005 to signal its research-driven, dividend-focused index strategies. Its first batch of twenty ETFs launched together in 2006, the largest single-day debut in the New York Stock Exchange's history.
WisdomTree Japan SmallCap Dividend Fund (DFJ) seeks to track the WisdomTree Japan SmallCap Dividend Index, investing in dividend-paying small-capitalization companies in Japan.
