Ldr Holding Corporation
A maker of surgical implants for treating spinal disorders, best known for the Mobi-C® cervical disc — an artificial disc whose "mobile-bearing" design lets it slide and rotate to mimic natural neck motion. The company was founded in France in 2000 by two surgeons-inventors and later moved its headquarters to Austin, Texas, before being bought by Zimmer Biomet in 2016. Its name and its signature product come from the same idea: letting the spine keep moving.
