A provider of helicopter services that flies crews and cargo to offshore oil and gas platforms and runs search-and-rescue and emergency medical flights. Its roots go back to 1947, when three Canadian Air Force veterans launched Okanagan Air Services as a crop-dusting firm in British Columbia. In 1987, entrepreneur Craig Dobbin merged Okanagan with his own Sealand Helicopters to form the Canadian Helicopter Corporation — the source of the CHC initials — and the company also operates the Heli-One maintenance division.
