A provider of hands-on career training, Lincoln Tech runs technical schools across the US under the Lincoln Technical Institute and Lincoln College of Technology names, where students learn skilled trades, automotive repair, and health sciences. It got its start in 1946 in Newark, New Jersey, when founder J. Warren Davies opened Lincoln Technical Institute to teach returning WWII veterans practical skills like air conditioning and refrigeration repair. That humble refrigeration class later grew into the dozens of campuses that make up the company today.
