Calamp Corp.

A maker of wireless devices and software that help businesses track and manage vehicles, trailers, and other mobile assets, CalAmp's telematics gear and cloud apps are used by fleets to watch their drivers and cargo. It got its start in 1981 as California Amplifier, building microwave parts for satellites, and shortened its name to CalAmp in 2004 as it moved into connected-vehicle tech. A fun twist: it bought the famous LoJack stolen-vehicle recovery brand and kept operating it internationally even after selling the US business.
