Born when New Zealand footballer Tim Brown teamed up with engineer Joey Zwillinger, Allbirds launched in 2016 with its signature Wool Runner and now sells shoes and clothing in dozens of countries. The name comes from New Zealand being a land "of all birds" since it has no native land mammals.
