Kaman Corporation
An American aerospace and industrial company headquartered in Connecticut, Kaman makes helicopters, specialized bearings for aircraft and machinery, and precision parts for defense and aviation customers. Founded in 1945 when engineer Charles Kaman built his first helicopter in his mother's garage, the company went on to pioneer several rotorcraft firsts and even applied its aerospace know-how to build Ovation guitars, a line of round-backed instruments designed with the same composite and vibration techniques used in helicopters.
