Haymaker Acquisition Corp. II
A special-purpose acquisition company, or SPAC, formed in 2020 by the team at Mistral Equity Partners to find a consumer or retail business to take public. It merged with convenience-store operator ARKO Corp. and its GPM Investments arm, which runs thousands of gas stations and shops across the US, to create Nasdaq-listed ARKO. Its "Haymaker" name comes from the boxing term for a powerful knockout punch, a nod to the hard-hitting deals it hoped to land.
