Antares Pharma, Inc.
A maker of drug-delivery devices that let patients inject their own medicine, Antares Pharma built auto-injector platforms like VIBEX and QuickShot to make self-injection of chronic-condition drugs easier. Founded in 1979 in Ewing, New Jersey, the company was acquired by Halozyme Therapeutics in 2022. Its name comes from Antares, the brightest star in the constellation Scorpius, whose Greek name means "rival of Mars."
