First Trust Exchange-Traded Alphadex Fund II
A legal "series trust" that houses one family of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) sharing the AlphaDEX brand. Rather than simply copying a stock index, these funds use a rules-based "enhanced indexing" method that ranks stocks by fundamental growth and value factors before picking a portfolio. The AlphaDEX line began in 2007 and comes from First Trust, an Illinois asset manager that started life in 1991 as Nike Securities and adopted the "First Trust" name after buying a unit-investment-trust business.
First Trust Brazil AlphaDEX Fund is an ETF that seeks investment results corresponding generally to the price and yield of the NASDAQ AlphaDEX Brazil Index, investing at least 90% of net assets in Brazilian equity securities. — Liquidated on or around July 18, 2025. Delisted after July 11, 2025.
