Bonanza Creek Energy Inc
A crude-oil and natural-gas explorer that drilled horizontal wells and hydraulically fractured tight rock formations in Colorado's Denver-Julesburg Basin. It belonged to the "Creek" family of energy companies, named for Bonanza Creek in the Yukon, where the Klondike Gold Rush began in 1896. In 2021 it merged with Extraction Oil & Gas to form Civitas Resources.
